We are looking for a post-doc to join our Communication and Electronics department. We are looking for someone with a passion for OS/Hypervisor Redesign.
As a post-doc in OS/Hypervisor Redesign, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features for our operating systems and hypervisors. You will work closely with our research team to develop innovative solutions and improve the performance of our systems.
The aim of your mission is to redesign the operating system and hypervisor in modern computer systems: to offer redesign solutions at operating system and hypervisor level in order to design new privilege levels in computer architectures. New privilege levels and their appropriate separation will be proposed as the ultimate goal of this post-doc. This work will focus on creating gem5-based virtual platforms to perform experiments to highlight weaknesses in contemporary architectures, operating systems and information systems.
Day-to-day tasks:
To succeed in this role, you must have a sound knowledge and practice in the field of computer architecture, AI/ML, RISC V processors. You will be required to write scientific papers, for which a good command of English is essential.
Knowledge of embedded system design, simulation tools for studying microarchitectures, operating system programming and/or embedded system design would be a plus.
