Télécom Paris is a living laboratory for all the major technological and societal challenges including Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, IoT, Cybersecurity, large-scale digital equipment (Cloud Computing), 5G/6G, and Green IT.


The work will be performed as part of a collaborative project whose purpose is to revolutionise hearable technologies (especially TWS/earbuds) by offering extremely efficient real-time machine listening, speech processing and Music content analysis (MIR) solutions which can run on very low consumption hardware.


1. To carry out research and development in the field of machine listening
2. To develop software for the collaborative projects of the ADASP group
3. To participate in the reputation of the School and the Institut Mines-Télécom


1. To carry out research missions in the field of machine listening
- Participates in the realization of research contracts in the field of machine listening
- Designs, develops and implements innovative technical or methodological instrumentation within the framework of the scientific projects in which he/she participates
- Develops prototypes, builds specific simulation equipment, structures and maintains test platforms and test benches, develops computer programs, implements test or measurement campaigns...
- Designs and carries out demonstrations and operational presentations of equipment and platforms
- Documents the software or hardware equipment designed for research programs in order to allow their transfer

2. To participate in the reputation of the School and the Institut Mines-Télécom

- Where appropriate, is associated with the publications related to the research projects in which he/she participates
- Maintains close relations with academic institutions, research centers and companies

3. Miscellaneous activities

- If necessary, directs and manages agents under his/her responsibility or supervision;
- Reports on the activities and results of the missions for which he/she is responsible.
- Ensures, as needed, any activity necessary for the proper functioning of the activity
- To support the development of Télécom Paris within the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris in his/her field of activity

Job requirements

Required skills, experience, and knowledge:

- In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in machine listening
- Experience with audio software development and deep learning frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow)
- Experience with software project management
- Fluency in English.

Preferred skills, experience, and knowledge:

- Mastery of the Linux environment

Other abilities and skills:

- Ability to work in a team, interpersonal skills;
- Pedagogical skills;
- Ability to write and synthesize.
