Télécom SudParis is offering a postdoctoral researcher position to highly motivated and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will conduct research on topics of stochastic model predictive control, real time embedded optimization, optimal control and estimation. Particularly, you will be involved in developing our software tools for state-of-the-art second order cone program using first-order splitting methods. The toolboxes will be used for real time embeded control and estimation. The targeted applications are in the smart grid, smart building domains. Examples include energy efficient buildings, real time energy management.

Job requirements

Level of training and / or experience required:

  • PhD degree with background in optimization, electronics, mathematics, systems & control, or related fields

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • An interest in rigorous mathematical investigations
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB
  • Solid background in numerical optimization, control
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English

Advantageous skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Expertise in model predictive control

Fluent in both spoken and written French
