1. Context

Job environment :

Within the teaching and research department in "network systems, cybersecurity and digital law" (SRCD), you will work in the field of the Internet of Things within the OCIF research team

2. Objective

You will work on the Mandjet platform offering an open environment for photovoltaic electricity production. The goal of the mission will be to implement and evaluate the monitoring tools of the production and consumption of electricity related to the platform. In particular, the DLMS standard will be studied and its interaction with the header compression and time series mechanisms developed within the team. In addition to a demonstrator, the capacity of LoRaWAN and NB-IoT networks for remote reading will be evaluated. The experimental evaluation will be performed on a platform developed, maintained and enhanced during the project. Contributions to the project will include the development of proof of concepts (PoC), interactions with project partners, writing project deliverables and academic publications, and presenting results.

Training

  • PhD less than 3 years old.

Knowledge & Skills

  • solid expertise in Internet architecture and protocols
  • Internet of Things and LPWAN protocols, DLMS/Cosem protocol
  • strong programming skills (Python, C, C++, ...)
  • good knowledge in system administration
  • good communication and writing skills in English

Langages

  • Fluency in written and spoken French is required
  • English (ability to read and write research articles in English)
