We are looking for a Platform Research and Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Communications and Electronics research department at Télécom Paris.

SCIENTIFIC CONTEXT

Today, AI algorithms are increasingly being used in communication systems, and more particularly in embedded systems such as IoTs and in-vehicle computers, where calculations are distributed and local "edge computing". This position is at the crossroads of several scientific challenges, and requires skills in a field that is highly valued by industry, and likely to generate numerous collaborations. It requires knowledge of processor/microcontroller/devices, algorithms and techniques for real-time signal processing, for which safety and security have become increasingly important, optimized hardware/software architectures and specific development methods.

Adapting AI algorithms for learning and inference in embedded systems is a major challenge for LTCI at IP Paris. It will enable us to position ourselves very favorably in relation to the other academic and industrial laboratories present in our ecosystem: Intel and Thalès on the Saclay plateau, ARM in Sophia-Antipolis, interdisciplinary centers and chairs on AI in general and embedded AI in particular.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing innovative platforms in the field of communications and electronics.
You will work closely with our technical experts to create cutting-edge solutions that meet our customers' needs and contribute to the advancement of our company. Your technical expertise and passion for innovation will be essential assets to succeed in this challenging and rewarding role.
Your main tasks will be to :

• Undertake research assignments in the field of embedded and distributed AI, or/and real-time embedded/critical systems, or/and security.
  
• Contribute to the reputation of the School and the Institut Mines-Télécom
  
• Participate in setting up project-based learning courses, TD/TP in embedded and distributed AI, or/and embedded/critical real-time systems, or/and security
