Job description

Who we are ?

Télécom Paris, part of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom) and a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, is one of France's top 5 general engineering schools.

The mainspring of Télécom Paris is to train, imagine and undertake to design digital models, technologies and solutions for a society and economy that respect people and their environment.

We are looking for a post-doctoral student in 5G network modelling to join our dynamic team in the Computer Science and Networks (INFRES) research department at Télécom Paris.

SCIENTIFIC CONTEXT

Investigations will be undertaken in the InfRes department, RMS team, under the supervision of Prof. Philippe Martins and Prof. François Baccelli. The research project is twofold. In a first part, investigations will concern 5G NTN. It will focus on the design of models and algorithms suitable for performance evaluation and dimensioning of such systems (resource allocation, handover, scheduling).

The second part of the project is devoted to the performance evaluation of O-RAN architectures by designing analytical models relying on stochastic geometry and optimal transport.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • To carry out research missions in the field of 5G networks
  • To ensure supervision and tutoring missions
  • To contribute to the reputation of the School, the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris
