Who we are ?

Télécom Paris, part of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom) and a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, is one of France's top 5 general engineering schools.

We are looking for a post-doctoral student in software engineering and cybersecurity to join our dynamic team in the Computer Science and Networks (INFRES) research department at Télécom Paris.


SCIENTIFIC CONTEXT

Télécom Paris is co-leading the research project SWHSec (Software Heritage Security, https://swhsec.github.io/) which aims to leverage Software Heritage (https://www.softwareheritage.org/), the largest public archive of software source code, to improve the security of open source software.
As part of the SWHSec research project, the ACES team is analyzing very large commit graphs of open source software projects, public databases of vulnerabilities (e.g., CVEs), and the relationships between the twos, with the goal of developing novel approaches to detect vulnerabilities, repair them, and inform developers about their presence in open source software projects.



As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and actively participate in the development of innovative approaches for detecting vulnerabilities in software.
The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • To carry out research missions in the field of software engineering and cybersecurity
  • To ensure supervision and tutoring missions
  • To contribute to the reputation of the School, the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris

Job requirements

You have solid expertise in software engineering and cybersecurity, a PhD or equivalent, a proven ability to work in a team and a good command of English. You have knowledge of software repository mining, software security and its supply chain.
