In mobile networks, the most critical part is the radio interface and the radio access network (RAN). In that context, there are still a lot of open issues: management of the radio resource with an intensive use of MIMO technologies under strict energy constraints, adaptation to the current load and services, optimization of the control functions in the RAN, zero-touch deployment, Hybrid Satellite–Terrestrial Networks, meshed RAN.

The recruited person (with a proven track record in PhD advising) will carry out research activities on mobile networks and especially on 5G or 6G networks either related to their architecture, their integration of IoT, AI, etc..
