Telecommunications Research and Development Engineer - fixed-term 24 months

Internationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), leading French engineering school (Technological University), IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve teaching, research and innovation.

Within the framework of PC3 PERSEUS of the PEPR 5G acceleration programme (national priority research programme and equipment for 5G networks and networks of the future, whose co-leaders are CEA, CNRS and IMT), we are recruiting a research and development engineer in the field of telecommunications to join our mathematical and electrical engineering (MEE) department.

In collaboration with the team working on the sub-project entitled « Orchestration of radio resources for cell-free 5G/6G multi-antenna systems (CF-MIMO) », you will carry out research on CF - Massive MIMO systems and O-RAN architectures, present your results to the project partners and write technical reports and scientific papers on the project.

You master engineering mathematical tools, particularly probability theory and optimisation.

You have a strong experience in signal processing applied to digital communications and you have skills in algorithmics and programming (Python or Matlab language).

You are fluent in English (C1 level equivalent).

You are curious, scientifically rigorous, independent and a self-starter.

You enjoy working in a team and have good oral and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in telecommunications
