MISSIONS :


This position is offered as part of the ANR MLQ-CT project (https://anr.fr/Projet-ANR-23-CE17-0046), in which Telecom SudParis is a partner. The project's objective is to develop and transfer quantitative analysis tools for diffuse interstitial lung diseases into routine clinical practice. The position aims to strengthen skills in artificial intelligence (AI) applied to the medical field, particularly in the design and deployment of AI solutions for the analysis of thoracic CT (X-ray scanner) images within the Radiology Department of Avicenne Hospital, Bobigny, a project partner.

The engineer will join the ARTEMIS Department (Advanced Research and Techniques for Multidimensional Imaging Systems) at Telecom SudParis and will benefit from the deep learning and medical imaging expertise acquired by the team over the past few years (more than 10 PhD theses, defended or ongoing, over the past 3 years), as well as the necessary hardware facilities (ARTEMIS deep learning platform) for the development of his/her activities.


ACTIVITIES :


  •  Contribute to the transition of "classical" image segmentation solutions developed in the ARTEMIS department to deep learning models (bronchial, vascular, pulmonary segmentation)
  • Develop "Docker" solutions for the models developed to enable their deployment at the hospital site 
  •  Assist with the processing of patient image data using existing solutions and the developed AI solutions
  •  Occasionally co-supervise student projects related to the studied theme

Job requirements

Required education level and/or experience:

- Bac +5 (engineering diploma or Master's degree) or equivalent diploma

- Bac +4 with professional experience ≥ 4 years

- Bac +3 with professional experience ≥ 6 years

- Bac +2 with professional experience ≥ 10 years

Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:

- In-depth scientific knowledge of deep learning techniques, as well as associated software development tools and environments (frameworks such as Pytorch, Tensorflow/Keras, specialized Python libraries, Docker)

- Proficiency in French and English

- Work experience in AI, preferably applied to imaging


Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience:

- Experience in the field of medical imaging

- Experience in developing industrial applications
