Research and Development Engineer or Post-doc in Control Systems – 12-month Fixed-term Contract

As part of the HYBA2 project, which is developing an industrial hybrid vessel demonstrator to sustainably transform the maritime sector, we are recruiting a research engineer or a post-doctoral fellow within our Department of Automatic Control, Production Systems, and IT (DAPI).

Under the responsibility of Fabien Claveau, you will analyze the dynamic interactions between the vessel, the waves, and the fishing gear to refine the system's digital twin. You will improve robustness and performance by exploiting thermal and electric over-actuation, while developing control strategies that guarantee propulsion comfort and vibration reduction. You will also lead the implementation on rapid prototyping computers and participate actively in measurement campaigns.

✔️ You have recognized skills in robust control as well as optimal control.

✔️ You have experience in modeling dynamic systems and ideally possess knowledge of machine learning to adapt solutions to operating situations.

✔️ You are curious, demonstrate scientific rigor, and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team.

🎓 The ideal candidate must hold a PhD or an engineering degree specialized in automatic control or robotics.

 REMUNERATION :

💰 Indicative salary: between €33,614 and €35,800 gross per year, depending on profile and experience (reduced employee social security contributions in the public sector).
