Founded in 1843, IMT Mines Alès currently has 1,400 students (including 250 international students) and 380 staff members. The school has three high-level scientific and technological research and teaching centers, working in the fields of materials and civil engineering (C2MA), the environment and risk management (CREER), and artificial intelligence and industrial and digital engineering (CERIS). It operates 12 technology platforms and has 1,600 partner companies. For more information: https://www.imt-mines-ales.fr

To address the new challenges associated with water management—both in terms of quality and quantity—new approaches have been emerging in recent years. Indeed, wastewater is now considered a valuable resource, and its reuse after treatment is one of the solutions of the future, allowing it to be reintegrated into the small water cycle and given a second life.
This work is part of the PHYTOREUT project, which focuses on developing a phytoremediation treatment system.
Your responsibilities:
You will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and optimizing a pilot wastewater treatment system using planted filters at the laboratory scale
You will need to work in synergy with the various project teams
You will also use this data to support your work
This role involves a strong experimental component; you will participate in the construction and improvement of the pilot system (resolving technical issues, repairing leaks, proposing constructive solutions, and instrumenting the system), and thus requires a strong aptitude for hands-on work and operating in pilot-scale conditions.
