Job description
Internationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), leading French engineering school (Technological University), IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve teaching, research and innovation.
As part of the OceaniX Chair, which aims to develop deep learning methods for ocean observation, modeling and forecasting, we are recruiting a Deep Learning and Ocean R&D engineer to join the INRIA Odyssey team and the Mathematical and Electrical Engineering department.
In collaboration with the OceaniX Chair team, you will contribute to the development of end-to-end neural approaches for monitoring, modeling and forecasting ocean dynamics.

Job requirements
You have skills in Applied Mathematics, Statistical Learning and/or Geosciences. You have experience or a strong interest in interdisciplinary research between digital and environmental sciences.
You are inquisitive, scientifically rigorous, self-reliant and a self-starter. You enjoy working as part of a team, and have excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
You should have a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Data Science or Oceanography, with a strong interest in digital tools, or an engineering degree in these fields.
