MISSIONS:

As the project's Senior Research Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of a complete experimental optronic device, including automation and the associated data acquisition layer.

ACTIVITIES:

1.Instrumentation and prototyping:

• Design and assemble a multimodal optical system integrating a laser, optical cavity, single photon detectors, spectrometer, and photon counting electronics.

• Data acquisition by DSL, CRDS, Raman spectroscopy and fluorescence detection.

• Automation of the experimental device for autonomous or remote operation.

 

2. Data processing and software:

• Develop robust algorithms for signal extraction and data processing from multimodal signals.

• Implement calibration protocols and noise reduction techniques for complex environments.

Job requirements

Level of training and / or experience required:

Ph.D. or engineering degree (Grande Ecole or M2) in optics, photonics or applied physics.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

-Experimental optics, data acquisition, data processing, optronics, electronics, automation

Advantageous skills, knowledge and experience:

- Experimental expertise: Proven experience in the realization of optical/optronic assemblies (DLS, spectroscopy, CRDS, single photon counting).
- Hardware/software interface: Mastery of programming for instrument control and data acquisition.
- Analytical skills: Strong foundation in signal processing; experience in machine learning would be an asset.

Abilities and skills:

- Autonomy: Ability to steer technical choices and manage a research roadmap independently.
- Initiative: Problem-solving mind, able to identify and remove technical barriers.
- Motivation: Strong interest in environmental monitoring and the industrial valorization of academic research.
