MISSIONS:

In line with the school's values, mission and strategy:

  •  Participate in the design, coordination and implementation of courses in the fields of Sustainable Supply Chain and Logistics, as well as in economics, in French or English, in initial and continuing education

  • Conduct research activities in management and/or quantitative economics on the themes of smart mobility, supply chain and sustainable logistics, in line with the LITEM laboratory's areas of focus (EA 7363)

  • Lead, promote and contribute to the influence of your team's research activities in your discipline

  • Actively participate in the school's cross-disciplinary projects on sustainable supply chain and logistics, in particular the CMA MEDEI project in collaboration with other IMT schools

  • Contribute to the school's influence and reputation

ACTIVITIES:

1.     Teaching

1.1 Course design and teaching activities
- Design and deliver courses, notably in operations management, sustainable logistics, transport networks, economics (microeconomics, transport economics), and econometrics, in French and English, at Bachelor and Master levels.
- Contribute to the School’s training needs analysis.
- Contribute to course coordination and propose module updates in relation to digital transitions.
- Design and deliver courses and teaching activities in initial and executive education, in French or English.
- Participate in project and internship defence juries.
- Contribute to pedagogical innovation, particularly concerning methods and tools.
- Design and grade assessments; review and assess reports and dissertations.
- Supervise student projects and provide guidance to students during internships.
- Participate in project and internship defence juries.

1.2 Teaching coordination
- Analyse needs with the training and pedagogical directorate and design appropriate programmes.
- Coordinate teaching activities for initial education (courses, modules…), executive education (modules, seminars, workshops…), final-year programmes, apprenticeship tracks, and MS/MSc programmes.

 - Work with discipline coordinators to:
            - Ensure coherence between courses and programmes (module – programme – curriculum).
            - Contribute to curriculum development and propose new or revised modules, majors, or programmes.
            - Enrich and renew the executive education offer.
- Take part in recruiting adjunct lecturers in line with the School’s faculty qualification policy.
- Design and produce teaching materials and pedagogical tools.
- Participate in working groups related to CMA projects (including MEDEI) and contribute to associated teaching developments.

2. Research

2.1 Research production and coordination
- Develop an individual research agenda and participate in collective research activities in sustainable logistics, aligned with the School’s research projects and research themes in economics and management of transport networks, decision sciences, supply chain, and operations management, and in line with IMT-BS missions (digital, energy, ecological, economic, and industrial transitions).
- Integrate research within the joint laboratory with the University of Evry, LITEM (EA 7363), in particular Axis 1 “Digital, praxis and responsibility” and Axis 2 “Innovation, markets and organisations.”
- Actively contribute to the “Future Skills and Professions” (CMA) project “Skills and Expertise for Accelerated Decarbonisation of Energy and Industry” (MEDEI).
- Publish articles in ABS- and FNEGE-ranked journals.
- Participate in organising national and international conferences.
- Propose research presentations or working papers.
- Supervise final-year management interns and doctoral students.
- Contribute to implementing the scientific strategy of IMT and the School and participate in defining scientific orientations.
- Develop and participate in projects involving external academic or industrial partners, especially as part of IMT structuring projects or national and European programmes.
- Contribute to existing research projects and propose new research initiatives in emerging fields.

2.2 Research valorisation and visibility
- Participate in research or expert activities within industrial, academic, or institutional partnerships.
- Negotiate, design, and manage research contracts and programmes.
- Strengthen scientific collaborations with industrial and academic communities in France and abroad.
- Promote research activities at national and international levels, including to the media and the general public.

3. Contribution to School life and strategic development
- Participate in student admissions juries.
- Contribute to major School events (orientation, academic day, graduation ceremonies, etc.) and promotional events (fairs, open days).
- Contribute to internal working groups and projects related to the School’s strategic plan.
- Participate in relations with the School’s stakeholders: companies, alumni, local authorities, IMT and its schools, and Evry campus partners.
- Contribute to the international strategy, including participation in international travel.

Job requirements

Level of training and / or experience required:

- PhD in Economics, Management, Operations Research, or related disciplines.
- Teaching and research experience within an academic or industrial research environment.
- Strong research record (working papers with high potential or recent significant publications).

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

- Teaching experience in higher education.
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English; ability to publish and teach in both languages.
- Expertise aligned with Institut Mines-Télécom research and teaching themes.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Python, Stata, R).
- Strong integration within the research community in France and/or abroad.
- Knowledge of national and international scientific challenges and research laboratories in the field.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate sustainability, CSR, and ethics considerations into teaching and research.
- Knowledge of information and communication technologies.
