We are looking for a Post-doctoral fellow in Quantum Information Theory.

The Quriosity (QTY) Inria research team is situated within the Laboratoire de Traitement et Communication de l’Information (LTCI) at Télécom Paris and part of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IPP) consortium. QTY is a rapidly growing team whose research covers many domains of theoretical quantum information processing. This includes, but is not limited to, topics such as: Quantum Computing; Quantum Cryptography; Quantum Error Correction; Quantum Foundations; Quantum Hamiltonian Complexity; Quantum Information and Quantum Learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with Augustin Vanrietvelde and his team on the topics of quantum foundations, quantum reference frames and quantum causal models.

Your main responsabilities :

  • To carry out research activities within the field of quantum information theory related to the QTY group’s activities with scope for the candidate to also develop their own research projects.

  • To aid in the QTY group’s various activities: acquisition of new research projects, project management, teaching duties and student supervision.

  • To contribute to the international recognition of the School and Institut Mines-Télécom by publishing results in top journals, presenting work at international conferences and maintaining and developing new collaborations with academic and industrial partners.

Job requirements

You hold a PhD or equivalent. You have in-depth theoretical or applied knowledge in the field of quantum information. You have research experience in one of the following areas : higher-order quantum processes; quantum reference frames; quantum causal models.

You have a professional level of English.
