Job description

Who we are ?

Télécom Paris, part of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom) and a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, is one of France's top 5 general engineering schools.

The mainspring of Télécom Paris is to train, imagine and undertake to design digital models, technologies and solutions for a society and economy that respect people and their environment.

We are looking for a post-doc with a passion for information theory and the optimization of communication systems, to take on ambitious scientific challenges as part of the PEPR5G project.

The scientific context of this project is based on the optimization of transmission schemes in C-RAN (Cloud Radio Access Network) networks, where base stations must quantize and transmit signals via finite-capacity front-end links. The aim is to explore the application of machine learning models, such as distributed deep neural networks, to minimize distortion error and optimize communication while taking into account fronthaul capacity limitations.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Conduct research in the field of multi-user Massive MIMO CRAN systems.

  • Provide mentoring and tutoring services

  • Contribute to the reputation of the School, the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.

Job requirements

To succeed in this role, we're looking for a candidate with a PhD in Telecommunications, expertise in information theory and MIMO systems, and a solid grasp of digital communications. Programming experience (C, Python) and fluency in English are also required. The ideal candidate will also be able to work in a team and write high-quality research papers.
