We are looking for a Post-doctoral Fellow in Information Theory for Artificial Intelligence to join our COMELEC department at Télécom Paris. This exciting position is part of an interdisciplinary research environment where information theory meets advanced applications of artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research on innovative models, while collaborating with academic and industrial experts, and to participate in the dissemination of his/her scientific results through publications and conferences.
SCIENTIFIC CONTEXT
The COMELEC department situates its action within the framework of the knowledge triangle which links education, innovation and research. As such, it works in the field of engineering training, continuing education and doctoral training; it also conducts academic research in the field of information technology; finally, it places its application studies and innovative developments in a cooperative approach with industry and emerging companies
Your main tasks will be to :
- To carry out research missions in the field of Information Theory for Artificial Intelligence
- To ensure supervision and tutoring missions
- To contribute to the reputation of the School, the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris
Job requirements
The ideal candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in the field of information theory, coding and machine learning. He/she should have a solid grasp of the mathematical tools used in the development of models for AI, as well as programming skills (C, Java, Python, TensorFlow/Keras). Experience in multidisciplinary work and fluency in English are also essential. Knowledge of the Bottleneck Information framework is a plus, as is fluency in French. Qualities such as the ability to work in a team, scientific dialogue and writing skills, as well as an aptitude for teaching, are essential for this position.
