Job description
Internationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), a leading French engineering school
(Technological University), IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve
teaching, research, and innovation.
BRAIn (Better Representations for Artificial Intelligence) is a research team within the Lab-STICC (CNRS UMR 6285), part of the Mathematical and Electrical Engineering (MEE) department at IMT Atlantique. The team's mission is to investigate key questions at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Signal Processing, with applications spanning images, sounds, texts, and more complex domains, including neuroimaging data.
As part of the ProPruNN project, which focuses on few-shot learning, model compression and geometric data structures to improve AI adaptability, we are recruiting a Post-Doctoral Fellow in our Mathematical and Electrical Engineering (MEE) department.
In collaboration with the project team working on deep learning, signal processing and embedded systems, and under the functional responsibility of the BRAIn team leader you will conduct research on compression techniques for deep learning models. You will develop and optimize models for microcontrollers, embedded GPUs, FPGAs or ASICs, taking into account energy efficiency and computational constraints. You will contribute to the writing of scientific articles and take part in conferences and workshops.
