Internationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), a leading French engineering school (Technological University), IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve teaching, research, and innovation.

As part of the MODU project, which aims to measure emotions in collaborative online discussions, we are recruiting a post-doctoral student in our Interdisciplinary Social Sciences department.

In collaboration with the project team, you will design the research protocol, collect the data and analyze it. You will publish scientific articles in collaboration with the team. Teaching activities are possible in fields such as computer science, data science and management. You will also take part in departmental and laboratory activities (meetings, seminars, etc.).

Job requirements

Minimum education and/or experience required:

 PhD obtained less than 3 years before date of hire.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Research on online communities

  • Quantitative/ data science research experience

  • Social sciences background

Abilities and skills:

  • Programming langage (Python will be a plus)

  • Fluent English

  • French will be a plus
