Internationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), leading French engineering school (Technological University), IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve teaching, research and innovation.
As part of the Rescu 2 project, we are recruiting a post-doctoral fellow in Marine Spectroscopy - Electromagnetic Characterization in our Automation, Production and Computing department.
In collaboration with the project team, you will work on the following topics:
- Define and run experimental scenarios (multi-frequency excitation, power, signal shape, distance to sample) on different materials.
- Analyze experimental data
- Participate in the specification of new sensor functionalities to characterize various materials in a marine environment by defining frequency range, power, waveform, etc.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team

Job requirements
You will have a sound theoretical knowledge of electromagnetic methods for measuring the seabed and a practical sense of experimentation, with an interest in innovative technologies.
You have technical skills in direct and inversion numerical electromagnetic modeling and physical measurements.
You are self-motivated, pragmatic and a good team player.
Candidates should hold a PhD in modeling, electromagnetism or geophysics, obtained less than 3 years before the date of recruitment.
