Job description
Internationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), a leading French engineering school (Technological University), IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve teaching, research, and innovation.
As part of the DecoDR project, which aims to develop effective methods for solving stochastic optimization problems incorporating probabilistic constraints, we are recruiting an engineer to join our Department of Automation, Production Engineering, and Computer Science (DAPI).
n collaboration with the project team, you will develop effective formulations for robust optimization problems in mixed integer distribution incorporating probabilistic constraints. You will adapt existing secant plane methods for nominal formulations (e.g., mixing sets, disjunctive cuts) and study their relevance for robust distribution problems. You will develop a decomposition approach to improve the computational performance of solving these problems.
