Job description
The candidates' research project will focus on advanced computational methods for Artificial Intelligence. The position aims to strengthen methodological and algorithmic work on one or more of the following axes:
· Optimization and learning on very large models and datasets,
· improving the performance of generative models,
· exploring hybrid approaches combining classical and quantum learning.
The research will be part of the AI 2030 Cluster of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, in line with the AI for Science and Engineering and Foundation Models and Generative AI axes. The recruited candidate will develop contributions at the interface between machine learning, optimization and quantum computing, while fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.
In connection with their research activities, the recruit will be able to offer courses in the third year at Télécom SudParis as well as in Master 2 at IP Paris. She will also participate in the supervision of projects of engineering students, Master's students and doctoral students.

Requirements and expectations
· Ph.D. in applied mathematics or a related field;
· Publications in international journals;
· First experience in teaching;
· First post-doctoral experience in research appreciated;
· Fluency in French and English;
· International experience appreciated.
