MISSIONS:

As part of the PEPR TracIA project, work focuses on privacy protection (GDPR) through the development of methods for assessing the risks of re-identification associated with pseudonymized data sets. The work also involves mitigating these risks, in accordance with regulations, while ensuring that the resulting data remains useful. The project is part of the Digital Health Research Program (PEPR SantéNum), which is the major research initiative of the National Strategy for Accelerating Digital Health (SASN) implemented by the French government as part of the France 2030 investment plan.

ACTIVITIES:

  • Test the risk assessment methodology [1] on the re-identification of a pseudonymized medical dataset

  • Study the best way to mitigate risk by improving the pseudonymization process with the help of healthcare personnel and comparing the possible variants of pseudonymized datasets in terms of usefulness

  • Contribute to the process of creating a record of the risk assessment associated with the dataset

  • Write publications to promote the results in renowned journals or conferences

Job requirements

Level of training and / or experience required:

  • PhD of less than 3 years

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in machine learning and a strong interest in statistics

  • Experience in integration and Python programming

  • Oral and written command of English

Advantageous skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in the medical field
