We are looking for a Post-doctoral fellow in Stochastic geometry and LEO constellations. You will join the INFRES Department. The postdoc will take place in the context of the BPI research project Constellation.  This project intends to develop a new LEO satellite constellation providing 5G coverage in millimeter wave band. In this context, Telecom Paris will be involved in the design of performance evaluation models that identify the working limits of such systems. Theoretical investigations that will be carried out in the context of this project requires strong skills in stochastic geometry and its applications on LEO satellites constellations  

Your main responsabilities :

  • To carry out research missions in the field of stochastic geometry applied to LEO satellite modelling and performance evaluation

  • To ensure supervision and tutoring missions

  • To contribute to the reputation of the School, the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris

Job requirements

You have a PhD or equivalent. You have in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of random geometry. You must be familiar with performance evaluation and stochastic processes.

Experience or knowledge of LEO satellite constellations and the NTN 5G radio interface will be valuable assets.

Your level of English is professional.
