We are looking for a Post-Doctoral Fellow with a passion for acoustic sensing on fiber optic networks to join our dynamic team at Télécom Paris. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a stimulating research environment.


SCIENTIFIC CONTEXT

The COMELEC department situates its action within the framework of the knowledge triangle that links education, innovation and research. As such, in the department, we train engineers and doctoral students, we conduct academic research in the field of information technology and finally, we place our application research and innovative developments in a cooperative approach with industry and emerging companies.

Within COMELEC, the Optical Telecommunications Group (GTO) is home to the research programs of eight faculty members and a state-of-the-art laboratory on optical fiber transmission. We conduct advanced research in high-rate fiber-optic transmission, optical network architectures, novel lasers for communications, integrated photonics, and distributed optical fiber sensors.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Perfom research missions in the field of photonics
  • Ensure supervision and tutoring missions
  • Contribute to the reputation of the School, the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in acoustic sensing and fiber optic networks. The candidate should be able to conduct high-level research, collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and present results clearly and concisely.
