We are looking for a Post-doctoral Fellow with a passion for random geometry applied to LEO satellite constellations to join our dynamic team in the Computer Science and Networks Department at Télécom Paris. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative research projects in the field of random geometry applied to LEO satellite constellations. As a post-doc, you will collaborate with leading researchers and actively participate in the publication of high-level scientific papers.

SCIENTIFIC CONTEXT

The postdoc will take place in the context of the BPI research project Constellation. This project intends to develop a new LEO satellite constellation providing 5G coverage in millimeter wave band. In this context, Telecom Paris will be involved in the design of performance evaluation models that identify the working limits of such systems. Theoretical investigations that will be carried out in the context of this project requires strong skills in stochastic geometry and its applications on LEO satellites constellations


Main tasks:

  • Conduct research in the field of random geometry applied to LEO satellite constellations.
  • Provide mentoring and tutoring services
  • Contribute to the reputation of the School, the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris

Job requirements

You must have in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of random geometry and performance evaluation, as well as a solid understanding of stochastic processes. Fluency in English is essential.

A good understanding of NTN 5G radio interfaces and LEO satellite constellations would be an asset. You will also need to demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team, your interpersonal and teaching skills, as well as your ability to summarize and write.
