Internationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), a leading French engineering school (Technological University), IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve teaching, research, and innovation.

As part of the PEPR Cloud/STEEL project, which aims to propose solutions for the efficient and secure storage and processing of data from cloud-based infrastructures, we are recruiting a post-doctoral fellow in our Automation, Productics and Computing department.

In collaboration with the project team, you will study the feasibility and benefits of a decentralized indexing system for the creation of next-generation CDNs and the development of new distributed services based on edge computing. You will evaluate key metrics such as latency, throughput, availability and resilience in various application scenarios involving edge-to-edge exchanges and mobility. You will propose innovative solutions to optimize the performance and reliability of distributed systems.

Job requirements

Minimum education and/or experience required:

PhD obtained less than 3 years before date of hire in Computer Science, with a strong background in software engineering and distributed systems.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
