Postdoctoral Fellowship: Deterministic Network Security (TSN) – 24-Month Fixed-Term Contract

  • On-site
    • Rennes, Bretagne, France
  • Risques et Cybersécurité

Job description

IMT Atlantique

IMT Atlantique, a leading generalist engineering school within the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom)—France's primary group of engineering schools aims to support major transitions, train responsible engineers, and place scientific and technical excellence at the service of education, research, and innovation.

As part of the France 2030 Superviz project, which aims to develop novel solutions for the detection and reaction to cyber attacks, we are recruiting a Post-doctoral fellow within our Network Systems, Cybersecurity and Digital Law (SRCD) department, specifically within the IRISA/Sotern teams, in cooperation with the LAB-STICC/Iris, all two experts research groups in network security.

In collaboration with the project team and under the supervision of referring teacher-researchers, you will model threats and attack surfaces specific to Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) standards, notably by performing risk analyses. You will develop an experimental environment (real testbed or emulation) to implement attack scenarios and measure their impact on service availability. You will design and validate real-time attack detection algorithms capable of meeting the strict latency constraints of prescribed latency applications. Finally, you will promote your work by writing and presenting scientific publications in high-level conferences and journals (IEEE Transaction on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, ESORICS, ARES, IFIP SEC, IFIP Networking, IFIP/IEEE Conference on Network and Service Management).
